A new sign marking the future site of the new Monett Area YMCA is now visible from Highway 37.

The new state-of-the-art facility will be constructed just south of Monett's South Park. The sign shows an architectural rendering of the exterior of the proposed Y.

Last month, the local YMCA organization launched a $10 million dollar capital campaign to raise money to build the new facility.

For more information on how to help bring this new facility to the area, contact Gordon Brown, director of the Monett YMCA, at 235-3213 or gbrown@monettymca.org. The capital campaign website can be accessed at www.yourmonettymca.org.
