Airport growth detailed in new master plan Details about future growth at the Monett Municipal Airport were shared yesterday at the Monett City Council meeting. A design rendering of the new 6,000-foot runway is shown above, at center, in gray. The view is northward, with Highway 60 at top and Highway 97 running along the right edge of the gray outlined area. The plan calls for the city to acquire land at the top and bottom of the drawing beyond the runway for safety. Improvements are proposed in the plan for the next 20 years.
