Barry County man arrested in suspected meth lab bust

One man was arrested near Shell Knob on Dec. 17 when officers seized a suspected methamphetamine lab.

The Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force, Missouri State High Patrol SWAT Team and the Barry County Sheriffs department deputies served a search warrant at 5 a.m. on Dec. 17 at a residence located north of Shell Knob.

Upon entering the residence, a methamphetamine lab and quantities of methamphetamine were recovered by officers.

Michael Craig Collins, age 38, was arrested and charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance and distributing, delivering and manufacturing a controlled substance. Bond was set at $25,000.

Information received about the lab and a possibility of explosives at the residence prompted the early morning warrant being served by task force officers with the assistance of Missouri State High Patrol SWAT Team
