School Christmas programs in coming two weeks

School Christmas programs will be taking place over the next two weeks. Last night was the Purdy Elementary School program. The season for area schools to present their holiday spirit to the public has arrived with Christmas programs slated to be held over the coming weeks.

Monett High School and Monett Middle School will hold their combined Christmas choir concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7 in the middle school gymnasium. The high school and middle school band Christmas concert will be held on Dec. 14 at the high school.

The Parent Support Group will host a Christmas dance on Dec. 18 at Monett High School following the basketball game.

The Monett Elementary School will present its Christmas program twice on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the middle school. This program will feature second grade only.

Berean Christian Academy will hold its Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at the First Free Will Baptist church of Monett, located at Central and Sycamore.

St. Lawrence Catholic School will hold its Christmas program at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 in the parish hall. Pre school through sixth grade students will be featured, and Santa Claus will make a special appearance.

The Pierce City Elementary School will present its annual Christmas program at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

The Purdy band concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the high school gymnasium. The Purdy High School and middle school choir will host a madrgal at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 in the elementary school gymnasium.π

Verona School will host its Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, featuring all grades, in the gymnasium.

The Verona Parents as Teachers group will be hosting a "Breakfast with Santa" prior to the annual Christmas parade from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 in the school cafeteria.
