Ten MHS Cubs Gridders Earn All-District Honors

Ten members of the Monett Cubs football team have been named to positions on the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association Class 3A All-District teams.

Selected to the first team on offense were senior Jason Obermann as lineman and senior Christian Privett as runningback.

Named to the first team on defense was senior Beau Bounous as end.

Selected to the second team on offense were Bounous as lineman, senior Spenser Witt as receiver and junior Chris Eimer as all-purpose player.

Named to the second team on defense were junior Kyle Fellwock as tackle, junior Ethan Davis as linebacker, Witt as back and Bounous as punter.

Receiving honorable mention recognition on defense were Obermann as end, Eimer as back, junior Marcus Enloe as back, junior Tristan Homfeldt as linebacker and sophomore Matt Schiffner as linebacker.

In addition, Bounous was named Defensive Player of the Year.

"This is high praise to our student athletes and football program," said MHS Coach Alan Spencer. "I am proud of each one of these players.
