Carol Potts

Carol Maxine Potts, age 73, of Monett, MO, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, MO.

She was born in Kansas City, MO, on April 16, 1936, the daughter of John and Geneva Davis Frirsen. She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Lee Ashby, in 1984, and her husbands, Tom Potts and Bob Przybylo.

She is survived by four daughters: Susan Potts, Monett, MO, Jennifer Gladson, of KY, Debarah Przybylo, of KY, Carolyn Ashby, of IL; four sons: Alfred Ashby Jr., of Aurora, MO, Paul Ashby, Fayetteville, AR, Joey Gladson, of Il, Bobby Potts, Monett, MO; and several daughters and sons that adopted her as mother and several grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren and several adopted grandchildren. God took our mother to Heaven to make a home for all of us to come home to when our time on this earth is done.

Arrangements are being handled by Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City, MO, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Funeral service will be at Lakin Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009. Interment will be at Monett IOOF Cemetery, Monett, MO.
