Jaycees accepting basket donations

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Monett Jaycees are now accepting donations for Thanksgiving baskets to help less fortunate families in the area have a holiday celebration.

Donation boxes have been placed at Ramey Supermarket, Save-A-Lot and Walmart. Canned goods and other non-perishable items will be accepted.

According to a Jaycees spokesperson, the Jaycees are coordinating both assembly and delivery of the baskets. Names of families in need may be submitted to the Jaycees at PO Box 406, Monett MO 65708. Information should include the name, address, number of family members and a contact phone number.

The deadline for submitting requests is Nov. 18.

Financial donations to support the effort can also be mailed to the Jaycees at the address listed above.

For additional information, contact Brittie Oakley at 489-0197.
