Mrs. Donna Lee Redshaw, 78, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo. She was born June 8, 1931 in Aurelia, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Blanche (Cartwright) Sauter.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Redshaw on February 14, 1949. He preceded her in death June 26, 1997. Donna and her family moved to Purdy in 1962 from Fonda, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a member of Waldensian Presbyterian Church south of Monett and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Monett. She will always be remembered for her cinnamon rolls and homemade bread.

She is survived by two sons: Richard and his wife, Marge Redshaw, and Dave and his wife, Debbie Redshaw, all of Purdy, Mo.; one daughter: Dianna and her husband, Mark Brandhorst, of Springfield, Mo.; one brother: John Sauter, of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; grandchildren: Scott Redshaw, Kim and her husband, Sam Hegwer, Mike and his wife, Megan Redshaw, Ryan and his wife, Shara Redshaw, Bryan Redshaw, Greg Redshaw, Dustin Brandhorst and Jeffrey Brandhorst; step-grandchildren: Marci and her husband, Ethan Balkin, Jordan and his wife, Audrey Schlessman, Amanda and her husband, Jay, Bryan, Tim and his wife, Margo Schlessman; and three great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Jean, Dean, Vane and Richard; and two sisters: Helen and Myrtle.

Visitation will be held at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri, Friday, November 6, 2009 from 6 till 7:30 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Vicki Evans officiating. Burial will be in Purdy Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the VFW and Waldensian Church.
