Two members of the Monett Lady Cubs volleyball team have been tabbed for All-Big 8 Conference honors as a result of voting by league coaches.
Senior Keli Cornell was named to the second team, and senior Brooke Beckwith was selected to receive honorable mention recognition.
For the season, Cornell had 109 kills, 67 solo blocks, 147 digs, 220 service attempts and 10 aces.
"Keli is a great all-around player who is very respected by her teammates and other teams," said Monett Coach Shyrah Boyle.
"She did an amazing job at the net with those 67 solo blocks," said Boyle. "That is a large amount for a high school athlete."
Beckwith had 106 kills, 15 solo blocks, 181 digs, 247 serve attempts and 10 aces during the season.
"Brooke is a wonderful presence on the court and a great vocal leader," Boyle said.
"She made a huge impact to the front row by putting the ball down when we needed her to and helped develop the energy and attitude that the team needs," Boyle added.
