David Ray

David Maurice Ray, of Rogersville, Missouri, born March 23, 1948, in Joplin, passed away in his home on November 1, 2009, at the age of 61.

He was married on May 24, 1974 to Evelyn Grotheer, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, William, and daughter, Amelia; three sisters, Mary Ann Wood, Bentonville, Arkansas, Sarah Stecher, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Connie Jarvis, Pierce City, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His parents, Maurice and Erna Ray, formerly of Freistatt, Missouri, preceded him in death.

David was a graduate of Monett High School in 1964, an SMSU graduate in 1974, and a Vietnam veteran.

Visitation, Tuesday, November 3, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Greenlawn East Chapel, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri. Visitation, Wednesday, November 4, Freistatt Trinity Lutheran Church, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside service to follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2852 S. Dayton, Springfield, Missouri.
