David Joe Jackson, 59, of Purdy, MO, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Cox Monett Hospital.

Mr. Jackson was born February 2, 1950 in Savannah, GA, the son of William J. and Kathryn Park Jackson. He was a salesman.

He married Kim Shockey on July 27, 1991 in Neosho, MO, and she survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Kathryn Jackson, of Cincinnati, OH; two sons: Brad Jackson, of Albuquerque, NM, and Brian Jackson, of San Jose, CA; one step-daughter: Elizabeth Elsworth and husband, Kyle, of Arlington, TX; one step-son: A.J. Shadwick and wife, Ashley, of Arlington, TX; one sister: Cindy Bennett and husband, Dale, of Cincinnati, OH; one brother: Michael Jackson and wife, Kim, of Lake Tahoe, NV; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.

Memorials may be made to ASPCA or the local Humane Society.

Family and friends can visit Kim at the home of Kenny and Shirley Shockey, 197 Tower Rd., Granby, MO.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett.
