John Marshall Rose, 49, of Lansing, Ks., died Oct. 10, 2009 after a long illness.

Mr. Rose was born Dec. 8, 1959 in Monroe, La., the son of the late Polly and Jesse Rose.

He is survived by two daughters, Shannon Rose, of Hutchinson, Ks., and Kaylee Rose, of St. John, Ks.; three sisters, Nora Young, of Cassville, Mo., Polly Heidlage, of Ponca City, Ok., and June Rose, of Oklahoma City, Ok.; and one brother, Jesse Rose, of Exeter, Mo.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Cassville at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
