Monett City Council to meet Tuesday

The Monett City Council will focus on volunteer work and adjust several ordinances during its regular monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Monett City Hall.

The work of Kevin Eaton on behalf of the skate park at North Park will be recognized. Appointments will also be made to the 911 Advisory Board.

Action will be considered on the barricade improvements for the Central Avenue railroad crossing. Action will also be taken on the recreational service agreement with the Monett Area YMCA. Final passage of revisions to the ordinances on the municipal cemeteries altering rates for lots and burials on weekends and holidays is also scheduled.

Mayor Jim Orr has generally asked department heads to summarize their recent work. Bills will be paid. The public is welcome to attend.
