Wanda Wade

Mrs. Wanda Lee Wade, 74, Republic, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 in her home, with family at her side. She was born March 3, 1935 in Barry County, Missouri, the daughter of Delmar and Gertie (Ennes) Myers.

Mrs. Wade was united in marriage to Rev. Roy Lee Wade on November 6, 1954. As a minister's wife, she continued in the ministry to the end of her life. She was a true servant of Christ. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker, talented seamstress, cook, and gardener, where her family was a top priority for her. She also enjoyed working at Wal-Mart in Republic, where she had retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Wade on October 1, 2005; and her parents.

She is survived by two children and their spouses, Mike and Kim Wade, and Debbie and Terry Chastain; grandchildren, Shelbi Wade, Trenton Wade, Peyton Wade, Kennedy Wade, Eric Chastain, Emily Chastain, and Tawney Simmons and husband Daryl; a great grandchild, Maggie Simmons; siblings and their spouses, Wilburn and Shirley Myers, Pauline and Bill Edwards, Beatrice "Alice" Williams, Myrtle McCord, and Leroy and Molly Myers; nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, with Rev. Ronnie Fieker and Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial will follow in Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
