Behind 4-1, the Monett Lady Cubs came back to nip Webb City 5-4 on Monday in a tennis match at Webb City.
Monett went to 7-5 on the season.
"We were down 4-1 after doubles and the first two singles," said Monett Coach Bob Crain. "Then Theresa (Mangler) won, Millie (Fulton) won, Nrupa (Desai) won and Brittany (Huebner) won. It was our best comeback win of the season.
"It was a great win at #1 doubles (Millie Fulton and Huebner) against a team that won our tournament a few weeks ago," Crain added.
Winning in singles play for Monett were Millie Fulton over Lauren Robertson 9-7, Huebner over Hayden Rand 8-5, Mangler over Brandi Trammel 8-3 and Desai over Mary Layne 8-1.
Losing in singles action were Katelyn Sperandio to Kirsten Robertson 2-7 and Sophie Fulton to Elizabeth Tappana 5-8.
The Monett doubles team of Millie Fulton and Huebner defeated Lauren Robertson and Rand 8-6.
Defeated in doubles play were Sperandio and Mangler by Kirsten Robertson and Tappana 3-8 and Desai and Sophie Fulton by Trammel and Layne 6-8.
In exhibition action, Monett's doubles teams of Carrie Robbins and Kerry Tinklepaugh and Samantha Vore and Mindy Kilgore posted wins.
Monett will compete in the district tournament Friday and Saturday at Rogersville.
