Monett, Purdy and Pierce City volleyball teams all went down to defeat in games played yesterday and Monday.
In a non-conference encounter at McDonald County last night, the Monett Lady Cubs were defeated by scores of 9-25 and 17-27.
The Lady Cubs dropped to 4-5 on the year.

"The junior varsity ball control was very strong," said Coach Shyrah Boyle. "They put some great combinations together and play very consistent."
Statistical leaders for the Monett jayvees were: Darian Shields, 10 kills; Elise Meyer, 11 kills; Bailey Pfitzner, 13 digs; and Caroline McKinney, 13 assists.
The Lady Cubs will next be in action tomorrow at Neosho.
The Purdy Lady Eagles lost to Thomas Jefferson last night by scores of 17-25 and 19-25.
Pierce City was defeated Monday by Mt. Vernon by scores of 26-28 and 20-25.
Statistical leaders for Pierce City were Megan Golubski with 10 assists and Kaelyn Osborn with seven kills and 14 digs.
