In a tennis encounter at Monett North Park on Friday, the Monett Lady Cubs easily turned back Reeds Spring by an 8-1 score.
Monet upped its record to 3-4 on the season.
"This was only our third match with the top six players in action in singles and doubles," said Monett Coach Bob Crain. "I am proud of the team effort on a football night."
Crain particular cited the play of Brittany Huebner in singles play. Huebner came back from an 0-5 deficit to win, 9-7, over Carlina Ravell.
Also winning in singles action for the Lady Cubs were: Mollie Fulton over Kristina Jones 8-4; Theresa Mangler over Destin Minick 8-6; Sophie Fulton over Yun Han 8-0; and Nrupa Desai over Alicia Zeitz-Lister 8-2.
Losing in singles play was Katelyn Sperandio to Dakota Shoemaker 4-8.
Winning in doubles action for Monett were: Mollie Fulton and Huebner over Jones and Ravell 8-4; Sperandio and Mangler over Han and Minick 8-5; and Sophie Fulton and Desai over Shoemaker and Marie Tanner 8-0.
In exhibition doubles play, Carrie Robbins and Kerry Tinklepaugh notched a pair of victories.
Monett will be at Bolivar on Tuesday.
