Alice Carlson, 90, of Monett, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett.
Mrs. Carlson was born February 10, 1919 in Mundale, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Minnie Ash Finn. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Monett where she was a Sunday school teacher.
She married Everett Carlson on February 1, 1937, in Monett, and he preceded her in death in May of 1983.
Survivors include two sons: Tom Carlson and wife, Gloria, of Jerome, Idaho, and Charles Carlson, of Three Rivers, Calif.; one daughter: Sharron Terrell and husband, Gary, of Jerome, Idaho; one sister, Inez Turney, of Rogers, Ark.; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clea Wright; one sister, Maxine Simms; and one great-grandchild, Emily Carlson.
Services were 11 a.m. today, Sept. 14 at Buchanan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Dodson officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Monett.
Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 13 at Buchanan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Free Will Baptist Church in Monett.
