Lillian Deems

Mrs. Lillian Deems, 85, of Monett, Missouri, passed away at 8:53 a.m. September 9, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

She was born April 30, 1924, in Caraway, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude Bryant Arnett. She was united in marriage to Edward Deems on September 18, 1952 in Draton Plains, Michigan. He survives.

Mrs. Deems was retired from Lacoba Homes as a nurses aide. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Monett.

Mrs. Deems is also survived by three daughters: Dianna Lasswell, of Pierce City; Marcia Deems, of Monett; and Kimberly Lorton, of Cowden, Illinois; one son: Randy Deems, of Pierce City; one brother: Warren Arnett, of Springfield, Mo.; and four sisters: Geneva Willis, of Pontial, Michigan; Betty Cauthron, of Billings, Mo., Mary Wade, of Lebanon, Mo., and Sandy Arnett, of Marionville, Mo.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery with Mike Veatch officiating.
