William E. "Bill" Harvey, 72, of Pierce City, Mo., passed away at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Cox Monett Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 4, 1937 in Verona, Mo., to Fenton "Pete" Harvey and Barbara Ruscha Harvey, now deceased.
Following graduation from Pierce City High School in 1955 he joined the United States Air Force. After discharge he attended college to pursue his career in the computer field. He was employed as a computer analyst for GSA Services in Kansas City, Mo. until retirement. He then moved to the immediate area where he worked in sales for Surge Farmers from 1977 to 1983 and Jay-Zee Inc. from 1984-1988 as systems manager and later in his own business.
He is survived by one son, Russell Harvey and his wife, Patti, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; Tami Seaman and husband, George, of Olathe, Kan., and Brenda Theriot and her husband, Press, of Flower Mound, Texas. He is also survived by his wife, Donna, and her children, John, Dan, Chris and Arthur Perrin, Angela Cave and Jeanne Baker; six grandchildren, Tony and Anna Theroit, Sam Spencer and Sophia Harvey and Zach Seaman. Additional survivors include four sisters, Thelma Fischer and husband, Christian, of Trimble, Linda Ehrhardt and husband, Gilbert, of Freistatt, Nancy Stroud and husband, Jerry, of Monett, and Gloria Abramovitz and husband, Jim, of Hobe Sound, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Pierce City with Father Robert Landewe officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City.
Rosary service will be said at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday with visitation to follow at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m.
