Wilma Sanders

Mrs. Wilma Ruth Sanders, 69, of Monett, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009, at her home in Monett. She was born July 18, 1940 in Purdy, the daughter of the late Otis and Mary "Gardner" Kackley. She was united in marriage to Leroy Sanders on May 30, 1958 in Monett, and he survives.

She owned and operated the Peter Pan Daycare in Bentonville, Ark., for several years, and attended The New Freedom Worship Center in Purdy, Missouri.

Along with her husband, other survives include: one son, Jerry Sanders and wife Crystal, of Atchison, Kansas; one daughter, Sheila Sanders, of Monett; one brother, Leon Kackley, of Claremore, Oklahoma; one sister, Barbara Johnson, of Independence, Missouri; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Buddy, Rolland and Franky; and one sister, Myrtle Terry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at New Freedom Worship Center in Purdy with Rev. George Clay and Rev. Joe Wogoman officiating. Burial will be in the Arnhart Cemetery near Purdy. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, from 6 till 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri.
