Monett Water Thrashers Take Second In Tri-State B Championships

With 397 points, the Monett Water Thrashers swim team finished second last weekend in the Tri-State B Championships held in Claremore, Okla. Joplin Stingray won the 10-team event with 444 points.

A total of 24 Monett swimmers finished in either first or second place.

First place finishers

Abby Addleman in the girls 13-14 50-yard butterfly.

Chelsea Ash in the girls 15-18 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle.

Matthew Bahl in the boys 8-and-under 50-yard freestyle.

Bridgett Barta in the girls 13-14 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle.

Katelyn Brisco in the girls 15-18 50-yard freestyle.

Kendra Brisco in the girls 15-18 50-yard breaststroke.

Daniel Bryan in the boys 15-18 200-yard freestyle.

D'Andre Burris in the boys 8-and-under 25-yard freestyle.

Brody Crawford in the boys 9-10 50-yard backstroke.
Shay Dalton in the girls 9-10 50-yard freestyle.

Sophie Fulton in the girls 13-14 50-yard freestyle.

Maddy Mosley in the girls 8-and-under 25-yard backstroke.

Kaitlyn Schumacher in the girls 15-18 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard butterfly.

The swim team will compete tomorrow and Sunday in the Tri-State A Championships in Siloam Springs, Ark.
