Water Thrashers Take Second At Carthage

With 1,177 points the Monett Water Thrashers swim team finished second among 12 teams competing last weekend in the Carthage Invitational. Joplin Stingray won the meet with 1,476 1/2 points.

Twenty swimmers from Monett took either first or second place in the competition.

First place finishers

Garrett Bradley in the boys 11-12 50-yard backstroke.

Claudia Chadwick in the girls 11-12 100-yard freestyle.

Courtney Cordova in the girls 13-14 50-yard backstroke and 50-yard breaststroke.

Bailey Flynt in the girls 8-and-under 25-yard freestyle.

Maddy Glouse in the girls 11-12 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.

Tandi Glouse in the girls 15-18 50-yard breaststroke.

Carter Huffmaster in the boys 15-18 200-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 500-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle.

Amanda Mullen in the girls 13-14 100-yard freestyle.

Doss Nation in the boys 6-and-under 25-yard backstroke.

Phillip Roller in the boys 13-14 50-yard backstroke.

Holly Abramovitz in the girls 5-18 200-yard freestyle.

Daniel Addleman in the boys 10-and-under 50-yard butterfly,

Matthew Bahl in the boys 6-and-under 25-yard butterfly.

Tyler Bass in the boys 13-14 50-yard backstroke.

Kurran Blamey in the boys 13-14 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard breaststroke.

Katelyn Brisco in the girls 15-18 50-yard freestyle.

Maddy Glouse in the girls 11-12 100-yard individual medley and 50-yard breaststroke.

Carter Huffmaster in the boys 15-18 50-yard backstroke.

Sean Jastal in the boys 11-12 100-yard freestyle.

Hannah Martin in the girls 15-18 50-yard backstroke.

Katie Morgan in the girls 10-and-under 50-yard backstroke.

Doss Nation in the boys 6-and-under 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard breaststroke.

Lane Witt in the boys 10-and-under 100-yard freestyle.

The B Water Thrashers team will be in action tomorrow and Sunday in the Tri-State Championships at Claremore, Okla. The A Water Thrashers team will compete in the Tri-State Championships on Aug. 1 and 2 in Siloam Springs, Ark.
