With 1,177 points the Monett Water Thrashers swim team finished second among 12 teams competing last weekend in the Carthage Invitational. Joplin Stingray won the meet with 1,476 1/2 points.
Twenty swimmers from Monett took either first or second place in the competition.

The B Water Thrashers team will be in action tomorrow and Sunday in the Tri-State Championships at Claremore, Okla. The A Water Thrashers team will compete in the Tri-State Championships on Aug. 1 and 2 in Siloam Springs, Ark.
