Emmeline E. Casper, 97, of Purdy, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009. She was born December 14, 1911 in Monett, Mo., the daughter of John Mourglia and Josephine Reynaud Mourglia.
|She was a homemaker and retired school teacher. She was an active member of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church. She was also active in 4-H and the Hawthorne Extension Club.|
She was united in marriage to Norman P. Casper on May 7, 1939, in Purdy, Mo., and he preceded her in death December 3, 1979.
|She is survived by two sons, John and his wife, Cindy, of Purdy, and Melvin and his wife, Terri, of Monett; daughter-in-law, Lynn Lowe and her husband, Ron, of Monett; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.|
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Maurice; four brothers, Leon, Felix, Frank and Eugene Mourglia; four sisters, Virginia Hammond, June English, and Verbena and Celena Mourglia, who passed away at a young age.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Waldensian Presbyterian Church with Rev. Vicky Evans officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home.
