Beginning on Monday, July 13, The Monett Times will begin publishing a new "Monday-Tuesday" edition.
The newspaper, which will be dated for Tuesday, will go to press on Monday afternoon and be in the newstands by Monday evening. The newspapers will be dropped off at the post office by 5 p.m. every Monday and delivered on Tuesday. Carriers will deliver the newspaper to Monett readers earlier in the day on Tuesday.
"We are responding to the correspondence we received after we suspended the Monday edition," said Publisher Bob Moore. "This is a compromise that will allow our readers to receive their news a little earlier."
The advertising deadline for display ads has been changed slightly for the Monday-Tuesday edition. Ads must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday to be placed in the Monday-Tuesday edition. The classified deadline remains noon on Friday.
