A Cape Fair motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle Barry County crash at 5:40 a.m. yesterday a half mile south of Jenkins at the intersection of Highways 39 and 248.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Asher, 25, rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was killed. He was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville where he was pronounced dead at 6:53 a.m.
Mark Sparkman, 47, of Aurora, was the other driver. He was uninjured.
The fatality occurred when Sparkman's eastbound GMC pulled into the path of Asher's northbound motorcycle.
Investigating the wreck was Trooper Tim Barrett.
