Maxine Ramsey

Mrs. Alva Maxine Ramsey, 88, of Monett, Missouri passed away at 2 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Monett Health Care Center. She was born December 31, 1920 in Monett, Missouri the daughter of the late Urey and Myrtle (Cannady) Jenkins. She was united in marriage to Frank Ramsey and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1982.

Maxine was a homemaker and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Monett, Missouri.

Maxine is survived by one sister: Joan Coatney of Monett, Missouri; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Maxine was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth; three sisters: her twin, Jerry Lewis, Virginia Henderson and Wilma Davis; three brothers, Landon Jenkins, Bobby Jack and Billy Joe Jenkins; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Howerton officiating. Burial will be at Monett I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 9 a.m. till service time.
