Alva Ramsey

Mrs. Alva Maxine Ramsey, 88, of Monett, Missouri passed away at 2:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Monett Health Care Center. She was born December 31, 1920 in Monett, Missouri the daughter of the late Urey and Myrtle (Cannady) Jenkins. She was united in married Frank Ramsey and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1982.

Alva was a homemaker and a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Monett, Missouri.

Alva is survived by one sister: Joan Coatney of Monett, Missouri; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Along with her parents and husband, Alva was also preceded in death by three sisters: Geraldine Lewis, Virginia Henderson and Wilma Davis, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Howerton officiating. Burial will be at Monett I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 9 a.m. till service time.
