Monett Water Thrashers Sweep Own Swim Meet

In the annual Monett swim meet last weekend at the Monett Municipal Swimming Pool, the Monett Water Thrashers team easily took first place in both the A and B divisions.

Monett scored 990 in the A Division. Joplin was second with a score of 666 1.2, and Siloam Springs, Ark., was third with a score of 529.

Monett had a score of 899 1/2 in the B Division. Joplin was second with 527 1/2, and Siloam Springs was third with a score of 527.

Forty-eight Monett swimmers placed in the top three.
