Mr. Kenneth Earl Foster, of rural Monett, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the age of 84. He was born December 3, 1924 in Monett the son of George Earl and Evia (Fleetwood) Foster. He was a member of New Site Baptist Church in Monett, Mo.
He was a graduate of Monett High School and the University of Missouri College of Agriculture. He was an US Army Veteran of WWII. He worked in agriculture his entire life. He was a G.I. Ag Instructor in Monett and Cassville, and was in Mo. Extension Service as Associate County Agent in Newton and Stone counties. He operated a Jersey Dairy farm south of Monett until retiring in 1986. He was a 50 plus year member of the Monett Masonic Lodge.
He married Alice Meador November 11, 1950 in Monett, Mo. and she survives. He is also survived by two sons: Robert Foster and George Foster of Monett, Mo.; two daughters: Peggy Kessinger and husband Dr. Jess of Carthage, Mo., and Deena DeMuri and husband Mike of Buffalo, Mo.; two grandchildren: Meg and Alex DeMuri; one brother: J.W. Foster and wife Barbara of Monett, Mo.
Masonic Services will be held Wednesday evening June 24, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home Monett with visitation following till 8 p.m. Graveside Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning, June 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Monett I.O.O.F Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
