The Monett Junior Livestock Show, sponsored by the Monett Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday, June 20, at Vaughn's Arena, behind J.D. Vaughn Company's business lot on Highway H, north of Monett.
The arena is located south of Boucher's Plant Farm and north of Fritz Implement. There will be a sign on the road marking the location. Exhibitors can arrive beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Competition for the beef and swine shows will begin at 9 a.m. The goat and sheep show will take place in the smaller show barn at 10 a.m., following the swine show. The beef show will be in the main arena. The dairy show will begin on the west end of the arena at 11 a.m.
The public is welcome to attend. There will be limited bleacher seating available. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Concessions will be available, run by the Monett FFA.
The Monett Junior Livestock Show is open to young people from any southwest Missouri town age 18 and under. Ribbons will be awarded by the Chamber to competitors. Premiums will be paid on site.
