Max Laverne Schnake, 76, of rural Mt. Vernon, died at 2:15 a.m. yesterday, June 11, 2009.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at the funeral home.
