Earl Rehwinkle

Mr. Earl Edward Rehwinkle, 90, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away at 2:55 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. John's Regional Hospital Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 22, 1919 in Purdy, Missouri, the son of the late John and Emma (Miller) Rehwinkle. He was united in marriage to Velma Casper October 25, 1942 in Purdy, Missouri, and she survives.

Earl was a retired farmer. He was member of the St. John's Lutheran Church Stones Prairie and also a member of the Men's Club.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one son: John Rehwinkle and wife, Louise, of Columbia, Missouri; one daughter: Bonnie Burton and husband, Gail, of Vienna, Virginia; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Stones Prairie with Pastor Philip Wolf officiating. Burial will be held at St. John's Stones Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 6 till 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home Monett, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Stones Prairie Cemetery Perpetual Fund in care of the funeral home.
