Eford Jackson

Eford C. Jackson, 90, died on Friday, June 5, 2009, in Temple, Texas. He was born in Fairview, Mo., on October 27, 1918, son of A.L. Jackson and Maggie Reece Jackson. Mr. Jackson married Rachael Kelly, and she preceded him in death October 13, 2001.

He was employed as a budget director for the Veterans Administration.

He was a devoted father to a son, Kelly Jackson, of Moore, Okla.; and three daughters, Elaine Jackson, of Temple, Texas, and Edwina Cranford, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Elizabeth Ann Duncan, of Norman, Okla. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Lakin Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Cole officiating.

Interment will be at Jolly Bethel Cemetery near Pierce City, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City, Mo.
