Lela Stubblefield

Mrs. Lela Mae (Bood) Stubblefield, 97, of Monett, Missouri passed away at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Villas of Guerin Woods, Georgetown, Ind. She was born August 24, 1911, in Monett, Missouri, to the late William and Mary (Jackson) Long. She was married to Verdayne B. Stubblefield for 62 years. He preceded her in death March 22, 1997.

Lela was a homemaker. She also owned Earl's Toggery in Monett, Missouri. She was of the Methodist Faith.

She is survived by one son: Earl Stubblefield and wife, Fran, of Albany, Ind.; one granddaughter: Michelle Long and husband, Jason, of Fishers, Ind.; one grandson: Mark Stubblefield, of St. Petersburg, Fl.; and one great-grandson: Tyler Long of Fishers, Ind.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Monett I.O.O.F Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Howerton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009, from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
