Kenneth Cobaugh

Kenneth F. Cobaugh, age 54, of Pierce City, Mo., died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Cape Fair State Park in Cape Fair, Mo. Mr. Cobaugh was born in Carthage, Mo., on March 15, 1955, the son of Kenneth and Naomi (Spruce) Cobaugh. He married Alice "Sue" Baker on November 4, 2005, in Mt. Vernon, Mo., and she survives. Mr. Cobaugh served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by: two daughters, Shawnda D. Cobaugh and Tamara L. Cobaugh of Pierce City, Mo.; three step-daughters, Tammy W. Karnes, of St. James, Mo., Sherri L. Gillette, of Coplay, Pa., and Chrisie L. Forister, of Rolla, Mo.; two sons, Gary Ellis, of Humboldt, Kan., and Anthony "Tony" Ellis, of Iola, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Lakin Funeral home in Pierce City, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Funeral service will be at Lakin Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, with Joe Waltrip\ officiating. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery in Reeds, Mo.
