Edna Smith

Edna Eliz Smith, age 59, of Monett, died after a long illness in Livingston, Texas, May 8, 2009. She was a nurse for many years in California and a member of The House of Prayer in Monett.

She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 25, 1949, the daughter of the late Alvin Smith and Edna (Cagle) Nehls.

She is survived by her mother and step-dad, Edna and Orren Nehls, of Livingston, Texas; three daughters, Shannon Welch and Amber Wilson both of the state of Arizona, and Misty Childers, of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Shaun Molver, U.S. Army in Korea, and Teghe Molver, of the state of California; and one brother, Ken Smith, of Kingwood, Texas.

Arrangements arte being handled by Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009. Funeral service will be at Lakin Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, with Rev. Troy Powell officiating. Burial will be at Monett IOOF Cemetery in Monett, Mo.
