Barbara Ann Caldwell, 74, of Monett, Mo., passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Mrs. Caldwell was born January 14, 1935, the daughter of Earl Henley and Maxine Bland Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett.
She married Vernal "Pooch" Caldwell on October 9, 1954, in Monett, Mo., and he survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Steve Caldwell of Saginaw, Texas, and David Caldwell and his wife, Missy, of Monett; two daughters, Cindy Hollinger and her husband, Steve, of Paola, Kan., and Jane Planchon and her husband, Randall, of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ruth Garringer and her husband, James, of Monett, and Roberta Lea and her husband, Owen, of Lampe, Mo.; six grandchildren, Amy Verstraete and her husband, Jacob, of Marionville, Mo., Kaylee White and her husband, Paul, of Louisburg, Kan., Crayton Caldwell of Pittsburg, Kan., Zachary Caldwell of Pittsburg, Kan., Nathan Planchon of Amarillo, Texas, and Cooper Caldwell of Monett; two great-grandchildren, Raleigh Verstraete and Gavin Caldwell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents Fred and Nora Thomas.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Interment will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery. Rosary will be ay 6 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home with visitation to follow.
