Monett Netters Sweep Greenwood

Dominating host Springfield Greenwood yesterday, the Monett Cubs swept to a 9-0 tennis victory.

Monett evened its season record at five wins and five losses.

Winning in singles action for the Cubs were: Sean Medlin over Connor Fraser 8-3; Johannes Eisenhardt over Ben Whitlock 8-1; Colt Moller over Stuart Beazley 8-4; Michael Kean over Windsor Esther 8-1; Drew Williams over Randy Freeman 8-0; and Taylor Petersen over Alex Thompson 8-0.

Logging doubles victories for Monett were: Medlin and Moller over Fraser and Beazley 8-1; Kean and Williams over Thompson and Whitlock 8-4; and Eisenhardt and Petersen over Esther and Freeman 8-1.

In exhibition singles play, Neshat Osmani, Caleb McCurry and Abraham Mejia posted wins.

The Cubs will be at Mt. Vernon today.
