Shirley Snider

Shirley M. Snider, 79, Overland Park, Kan., passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 4 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the IOOF Cemetery, Monett, Mo.

Shirley was born March 1, 1930 in Verona, Mo,, to John and Stella (Swadley) Johnson. She had been a machine operator for Sealright until her retirement in 1992. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy G. Snider; daughter, Wanda Howard and her husband, Bruce, Mission, Kan.; son, Tommy Snider and his wife, Maria, Oro Valley, Ariz.; sister, Phyllis Savner and her husband, Jerry, Kansas City, Kan.; brother, J.W.
