Gail Wahlert

Mrs. Wahlert was born March 15, 1941, in Audubon County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Jean Louise McCall Chase. She was retired from Friend Tire Company in Monett and a member of New Site Baptist Church.

She married Dallas Wahlert on January 25, 1961, in Bridge Port, Neb., and he survives.

Additional survivors include: her mother, Jean Louise Chase, of Exira, Iowa; two sons, Stephen Wahlert and wife, Sharon, of Exira, Iowa, and Paul Wahlert and wife, Glenda, of Cassville, Mo.; one daughter, Leah Aldridge and husband, Glen, of Monett; and six grandchildren, Lacey Patterson and husband, Josh, Stephanie Wahlert, Aaron Wahlert, Sarah Aldridge, Douglas Aldridge, and Kristen Wahlert.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Site Baptist Church in Monett with Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating. Interment will be in New Site Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.

Memorials may be made to the New Site Building Fund or St. John's Hospice.
