Sharon Kay McKnight, 62, of Nixa, Mo., formerly of Verona, Mo., passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. McKnight was born August 8, 1946, in Salinas, Calif., the daughter of John Coffman and Mae Ellis Coffman Hayes. She was a homemaker.
She married Walter Junior McKnight on May 8, 1964, in Crane, Mo., and he preceded her in death May 21, 2002.
Survivors include: her mother, Mae Hayes, of Nixa, Mo.; three sons, Jerry McKnight and wife, Lori, of Monett, Keith McKnight and wife, Holly, of Pierce City, Mo., and Kevin McKnight and wife, Amy, of Bellefontaine, Ohio; one daughter: Deborah McKnight, of Monett; two sisters, Lorene Hull, of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Judy McIntosh, of Nixa, Mo.; and six grandchildren: Lukus and Markus McKnight and Jacob Smith, all of Monett, and Makenna, Kelby and Kyler McKnight, all of Pierce City.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harvey, Quincy and John Coffman; and two sisters: Shirley Coffman and Ezalee Coffman.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Moore officiating. Interment will be in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
