Keith Baker

Hiram "Keith" Baker, age 90, of Pierce City, Mo., died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Mt. Vernon Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Mo. Mr. Baker was born in Sarcoxie, Mo., on September 26, 1918, the son of George and Catha (Woffard) Baker. Mr. Baker was a retired farmer and served his country during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4207 in Monett, Mo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelah Helen Baker in 1992.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ella Kay Balmas, of Monett, Mo., and Gina Lynn Debes of Pierce City, Mo.; four grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, and graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Oakdale Cemetery in Monett, Mo., on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
