Monett's Lady Cubs were fifth and the boys Cubs were sixth yesterday in the Redbird Relays track meet at Webb City.
The Monett girls had a team score of 56. Webb City won the 10-team event with 117 points. Aurora was seventh with 41 points, Cassville was eighth with 40 points and Mt. Vernon was ninth with 27 points.
Finishing first for the Lady Cubs was the 4x200-meter relay team of Leah Fellwock, Madison Carlin, Sarah Hammond and Millie Fulton. The winning time was 1:56.5.
Coming in second was Keli Cornell in the high jump.
Taking third place were: Tiffany Carver in the long jump; Carlin in the 100 high hurdles; Fellwock in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles; and the 4x400-meter relay team of Fellwock, Hammond, Fulton and Chloe Ridgley.
Placing fourth were: Jenny Frazier in the shot put; Carlin in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles; and the 4x100-meter relay team of Carver, Carlin, Fulton and Erin Daugherty.
Sixth place finishers were: Hammond in the triple jump; Fellwock in the 100-meter high hurdles; and the 4x800-meter relay team of Lauren Sebastian, Hannah Martin, Whitney Dahlstrom and Bianca Holloway.
Monett is next in action today in the "Girls Night Out" meet at JFK Stadium at Parkview in Springfield.
The Monett Cubs boys were sixth at the Webb City meet with a team score of 38 1/2. Ozark won the meet with 172 points. Cassville was seventh with 32 points, Mt. Vernon was ninth with 20 points and Aurora was 11th with 4 points.
Chris Eimer was the top finisher for Monett, coming in second in the long jump.
Finishing third were: Steven Noriega in the 400-meter; and Logan Lalonde in the high jump.
Placing fourth were: Jason Obermann in the discus; the 4x200-meter relay team of Mauricio Trujillo, Scotty Wilson, Tristen Homfeldt and Eimer; and the 4x400-meter relay team of D.J. Dunmire, Uriel Rueda, Garrett Dutton and Noriega.
Coming in fifth were: Dunmire in the pole vault; the 4x800-meter relay team of Dutton, Noriega, Harold Gabriel and Micah Miller; and the 4x100-meter relay team of Trujillo, Wilson, Eimer and Dunmire.
Taking sixth was Dunmire in the high jump.
The Cubs boys will next be in action tomorrow at Hillcrest.
