Municipal elections offer races in some times, no comers for jobs elsewhere The scene above showed the heavy turnout at last November's election at the Monett City Park Casino. That will not be the case next Tuesday. Even though there are several issues and many candidates on the ballot, a low turnout is anticipated. According to Lawrence County Clerk Gary Emerson, fewer absentee ballots have been cast than last April. Weighing the number of letters to the editor in area papers on the most controversial subjects, he is expecting turnout of around 15 percent.
