The Monett Cubs boys were sixth and the Lady Cubs were 10th yesterday in the Carthage track meet.
Carthage won the boys meet with 129 points. Monett had a score of 51. Southwest was ninth with a score of 14 and Pierce City was 11th with a score of six.
Placing second for the Monett boys were: D.J. Dunmire in the pole vault; Chris Eimer in the long jump; the 4x200-meter relay team of Mauricio Trujillo, Scotty Wilson, Tristen Homfeldt and Eimer; and the 4x100 relay team of Trujillo, Wilson, Eimer and Dunmire.
Taking third was the 4x400 relay team of Dunmire, Uriel Rueda, Garrett Dutton and Steven Noriega.
Finishing fourth were: Beau Bounous in the discus and Rueda in the 400-meter.
Sixth place finishers were: Josh Shaner in the high hurdles, Jason Obermann in the shot put, Beau Bounous in the triple jump, Noriega in the 800-meter and the 4x800 relay team of Dutton, Harold Gabriel, Chris Renteria and Noriega.
Monett's Lady Cubs were 10th with a score of 17 1/2. Neosho won the meet with 142 points. Pierce City was eighth with 28 points.
Leah Fellwock was third for Monett in the 300 intermediate hurdles and fifth in the high hurdles.
Placing fourth were: Tiffany Carver in the long jump; and the 4x200 relay team of Carver, Sarah Hammond, Fellwock and Millie Fulton.
Coming in sixth were: Keli Cornell in the high jump; and the 4x100 relay team of Carver, Erin Daugherty, Jordan VanLue and Fulton.
Monett will next be in action Monday at Webb City.
