Florence Lovern "Johnnie" Holder, 83, of Miller, died at 8:15 a.m. March 20, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Holder was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Kommish, Okla., the daughter of Daniel and Barbara Thompson Jenks. She moved to Miller in 2002. She worked at the Miller West School cafeteria and attended Blake Baptist Church.
She married James Winford Holder on Aug. 9, 1941, in Mead, Okla., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1994.
Survivors include: one son, Dewayne Holder, of La Russell; two daughters, Velma Hamilton and Linda Howard, both of Miller; four sisters, Blanche Stinette, of the state of Oklahoma, Frances Lee, of the state of New Mexico, Beatrice Bozart, of the state of Texas, and LaDessa Lewis, of Miller; two brothers, Clinton Jenks, of the state of Texas, and Daniel Jenks, of the state of New Mexico; 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Sam Holder and J. W. Holder Jr., one daughter, Melba Mobbley, and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, March 24 at Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 23, at the funeral home.
