Two Killed, Three Hurt In Wrecks
Two people were killed and three people were injured in recent area traffic crashes.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued the following reports:
A Cassville man was killed in a one-vehicle wreck in McDonald County at 11:25 a.m. last Thursday on Route W in Pineville,
Gerald Donnini, 56, the driver, died in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Coroner Tracy Dowd. The body was taken to Walker Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson.
The fatality occurred when the northbound motorcycle driven by Donnini went off the road and struck a tree stump and small out-building. The driver was ejected off the motorcycle.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Mike Frazier.
A Springfield man was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle traffic crash at 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 44 at Halltown in Lawrence County.
Paul Shockey, 36, one of the drivers, was killed in the wreck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County Coroner Don Lakin. The body was taken to Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
Kelly Templin, 46, of Sacramento, Calif., was the other driver.
The fatality occurred when the eastbound Chevrolet driven by Shockley struck the back end of the eastbound Peterbilt truck driven by Templin in the eastbound lane.
Investigating the crash was Trooper Steve Jones.
An Exeter woman was hurt in a one-vehicle crash a mile south of Ridgley at the intersection of Highways 76 and 86 in Barry County at 1:10 p.m. Saturday.
Linda Hile, 60, the driver, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Cox Monett Hospital.
The wreck occurred when the eastbound Ford driven by Hile went off the road and struck a driveway embankment.
Investigating the crash was Trooper Les Wilson.
A Green Forest, Ark. man was injured in a one-vehicle wreck a mile east of Golden on Highway 86 in Barry County at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
David Stanfield, 39, the driver, sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. John's Hospital in Berryville, Ark.
The crash occurred when the eastbound Dodge driven by Stanfield failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
Investigating the wreck was Trooper Todd Hilburn.
A Goodman woman was hurt in a one-vehicle crash three miles east of Wheaton on Route W in Barry County at 11 p.m. Friday.
Camellia Strickland, 19, the driver, sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville.
The wreck occurred when the westbound Ford driven by Strickland failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road, struck and fence and overturned.
Investigating the crash was Trooper Hilburn.
