Jacob Meyer

Jacob Matthew Meyer, 2, of Mt. Vernon, died March 20, 2009, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

He was born May 4, 2006, in Springfield, the son of Jeremy Allen and Candace Lynn Barrett Meyer.

Additional survivors include: two brothers, Curtis and Josie; paternal grandmother, Judith Kimmons, of Springfield; paternal step-grandmother, Shelley Meyer, of Battlefield; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Dee Barrett, of Mt. Vernon; paternal great-grandparents, Merlin and Yvonne Meyer and Jerry and Berneta Kimmons, all of Billings; maternal great-grandparents, Curtis Barrett, of Mt. Vernon, and Elnora Enlow, of Ava; one nephew and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Meyer; maternal great-grandmother, Carmeleta Barrett; and maternal great grandfather, Lloyd Enlow.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon City Cemetery under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 24, at the church.
