Mary Amanda Arnold, 93, of Carthage, formerly of Cassville, died March 18, 2009, in St. Luke's Nursing Center in Carthage.
Mrs. Arnold was born April 11, 1915, in Bristow, Okla., the daughter of Cecil Floyd and Lillie May Catron Niccum. She was a 1935 graduate of Bristow High School. She moved to Cassville in 1951. She was active in the First Baptist Church in Cassville where she was a member of the Triple L Club and taught Sunday school. She was a member of Good Neighbor Club and past president of the Cassville Parents As Teachers.
She married Frank Arnold on Jan. 30, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Okla., and he preceded her in death Aug. 22, 1989.
Survivors include: three sons, James Arnold, of Del Ray Beach, Fla., Bud Arnold, of Reeds, and Bill Arnold, of Lebanon; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Glendene Estes, and one brother, Hiram Niccum.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, March 21, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral home of Cassville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 20, at the funeral home.
